My car steers better in the rain than dry? Why?

I've noticed this too, and I think it's related to Haldex+quattro. Our cars are 95% FWD until slip..
... occurs. Then, Haldex distributes torque up to 50/50. So as the roads get slippery, full quattro engages more often, making the car seem more balanced. I'm in Seattle and I truly almost <i> prefer</i> the rain... I love it. The car feels so much more sure-footed. Plus, my tires are ridiculously sticky in the wet (Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3).

makes some sense. Of course I have little brother ASR (which I cant really notice that it does me a whole lot of good, unlike the ESP). Although slip factor is negligable in a straight line, the car steels feels smoother, even on rough pavement. Crazy, but I thought this might be because all suspension parts are being moistened! Crazy or what?

Maybe it will "feel" smoother, but that just means it's slipping smoother across the pavement
to say your car handles better in the rain/wet is crazy.
If you don't believe me, go to a track and drive the **** out of your TT in the dry, then come back to the track and drive the **** out of it when it's wet. See which lap times are faster.

there is no way your TT handles better when it's wet than when dry
as I said below -
go to a track on a dry day and drive the **** out of your TT and have someone time you.
Then go back on a wet day and do the same thing. There is no way your laptimes will be faster in the wet than in the dry.
