DG Short Shifter Install done!!
I installed my DG SS (race version) this weekend - very easy install! The instructions were incredibly thorough and easy to follow.
Save your hands and remove the airbox - it only takes a few minutes and makes the process easier overall!
Impressions: The shifting is very tight and has a mechanical feel to it. I have a heavy shifter **** and it really helps. I find that the shifts for 1-2-3-4 are all smooth and the shifter actually "pops" to the right track; I have to work a little for 5 and 6. I understand why people say that it feels notchy, it can definitely come-off that way - but I believe this is because you've given up some mechanical advantage and the shifter pieces are a bit more compact.
Proper adjustment is a must!! And I find the shifter makes a bit more noise than stock - but nothing distracting. Overall a great mod!
