Update on crashed TT...
I was told that the wheels cost $600 ea.? I guess that's inc. the tires. Wow. Anyway, not a cheap car to fix.
Looking into my crystal ball I see an insurance hike in my future... :-(
If you have the stock wheels and they body shop orders the wheels through an Audi dealer I think they charges that much for the rim only. If not 600 it will be damn close to that.
Just skip that and by a set of aftermarket wheels a set you really like and if already on it get the matching suspension kit also! Just my two cents.
Just don't know if it's possible to withdraw the claim at this point. Or even if I did, and pay it myself, if they'd raise my rates anyway since they know about the accident.
Yeah, I'll probably let my ins co. pay, but if possible I may pay it myself to save myself the bigger payment in the long run (or even cancellation).

I should've coughed up the $2K myself back then. Instead I called my insurance company and was later cancelled because I had 2 speeding tickets on my record at the time. In the state of Maryland (where I lived at the time), the state law gave insurance companies the right to cancel policies for 2 or more incidents in a 3 year period. Even though I had been with State Farm for 10 years at the time, the dropped me like a hot potato. Had to get insurance through the state as I was suddenly "high risk" and paid 4K/year.
Lesson learned: Insurance is for things you CAN'T afford ONLY.
In my current predicament, 4K is just about what I can afford (sadly, because I've had a rough year financially...). 6K, no way.
I'll probably have to sell the car now and just drive my backup el-cheapo-mobile........
