Default Most of them suck...

Alot of the kits that add pieces on are glued on over the existing body. This means that they hang off the side of the car (albeit with a small gap) and don't necessarily match up with the lines of the car. Kits like Marcus had on his car (the Dietrich kit) that replace the front and back end fit much better.

Default Never heard of them

Really, there is a ton of information in the archives about the most popular chips and what options you can get. They are basically: APR, GIAC, Revo, AMD (if you're in the UK), ABT, OCT and I think Neuspeed.

Default Re: body kits

If I were to put on a TT body kit, I would only consider the Audi OEM kit. If you look carefully at other manufacturers aftermarket kits, you will notice that the crease lines that are crisply defined on the TT as OEM, whether metal or composite are very sharply done. Whereas aftermarket kits with the exception of Uberhaus Aero side flaps, have radiused rather than sharp crisp crease lines at plane changes. This lack of sharpness is most noticeable to a trained design eye, and is a sure tipoff of aftermarket quality that interferes with rather than appropriately enhancing the original TT design and construction.

Therefore, I recommend only the Audi OEM kit for those who want to do body kits. Unless, of course, you don't mind having your TT look a little bit ricey...

A veteran Audi mechanic that I know, would only use an Audi Performance Racing chip if a customer asked him to chip an Audi...
