Default Dual install day: VF-Engineering Dogbone and Forge Tower brace...

The VF mount is a must do. A little more rumble when taking off from a stop, but EVERYTHING is improved with shifting and the overall feel of the car. I think that this was a very needed mod. Vibration in the steering wheel and the like is negligeably. Shifting is much more accurate, especially accelerating or decelerating.

The Forge tower brace seems to have stiffened up the front of the car slightly, also leading to a better "feel", and seemingly a bit better handling and turn in, but I haven't had a chance to push it in the dry yet.

Overall.. both highly recommended. The VF mount was exactly what I wanted, and makes the car "feel" like it always should have. I do think that the more vibration at takeoff is canceled out by the fact that it seems easier to take off from a stop now.

Default How hard is it to do the dogbone install?

Please advise using the Audi Tech Count method (ie., how many Audi Tech's does it take to...). :-)

Seriously... difficult?

Dogbone requires new subframe bolts, right?

Default 1 audi tech, less than 1/2 hour I'd say.

I think that it is easier than the inserts, since you don't have to go through that whole process, it's just a total replacement. I really love it. You do feel more "connected".

I would say the strut brace is more for looks than performance....IMO.

Default I agree for the most part...

that why I said "seems".. but I think it did make a bit of a difference. I want to get under there and tighten it up a bit more even.
