Audi Loaner - Red / New A4 1.8L - Man its slow...is it 180bhp also

Audi spec for the A4 1.8T is 170 hp.
The A4 1.8T is rated by Audi at 170 hp. The car is over 3,500 pounds so the power to weight ratio is not as good as I would like to see. Personally, I think Audi should chip the A4 at about 215hp for the 1.8T version and run the 3.0 V6 version chipped to about 240 hp in order to be a viable combination of luxury and persformance sedan.
As much as I like Audi and like the design of the A4, if I were to buy a sedan tomorrow, I would seriously consider the Acura TL as an alternative. There is a black on black one that goes to the same car wash/gas station that I use, and it looks pretty good. I also like the lower cost of maintenance of Japanese cars. My wife's RAV 4 costs very little to maintain...

Auto....tiptroic IMHO doesnt enhance the driving experience at all.
Its easier after 20 mins of playing with it to use the automatic option....tiptronic also changes gear in high revs...and the settings could be more fun as its too conservative.

The tip1.8 is horrible...
I have a stick, B5 1.8T. It's got nearly as much ***** as my Wife's 225 1.8TQM roadster.
I drove a tiptronic 1.8T Avant this year as a loaner, what a piece of crap. It had no power. The 1.8 engine is great, but you have to have a stick to realize the power.
