Looks like my differential is bad, opinions please?
Having done a search it's obvious that the symptoms my car has are from a bad differential bearing, can I still drive my car for a couple of weeks? because thats the earliest I can get an appointment at the dealership and get a loaner, if I take it in with no appointment and they consider it undriveable, they won't give me a loaner till the next available appointment day and they won't let me drive it either. sucks eh?

I wouldnt!! If it locks up you are toast! and you'll have alot more than a bad bearing
If you manage not to wreck you'll probably snap your axle, crack the casing open, and if it locks the driveshaft too it'll chain reaction its way up to the front of the driveline (Tranny, engine)
Granted thats absolute worst case scenario but I've seen it happen plenty of times before on other cars.
When the differential and bearings went bad in my mustang I parked it and borrowed a vehicle to drive until it was fixed.

I dont think its fair that your car is screwed and they wont give you a loaner now
Call Audi of American and tell someone that you consider it their problem to keep you mobile... after all, your paying them for the car that doesnt work...they should pay the rental. Ive had success with this but you have to make them realize their POS it to blame... Some problems you just cant anticipate thus scheduling isnt an option
