Default DAMMIT!!! Got the wrong bloody connector AGAIN! :-(

In an effort to integrate the Clarion VRX935VD head unit I've pulled from my "old" GTI into the TT, I ordered the Scosche VW01B wiring harness last week and managed to connect most of the head unit's wires through the harness.

Unfortunately, the VW01B only includes the top two connectors of the stock head unit:

<img src="http://ttbipes.home.comcast.net/jpgs/headunitwiring.jpg">

and as it appears, the rear speakers, that are powered by an internal Audi "Power Amp", must be connected through the bottom connector with "RR LR COM" pins above.

So, I found this VWK1 harness on the same website as the one I had ordered the VW01B through:

<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/products/sco/SCOVWK1B.jpg">

which is apparently for VAG products with "Aktiv Amplified Option". It looked like that third connector from the wiring diagram above was included in the kit, so I went ahead and ordered it.

Well guess what, it's not even close to the right connector!!
This is the package I received:

<img src="http://hitechgti.50megs.com/audi/carkit/DSC00060.jpg">

and this is what the connectors look like:

<img src="http://hitechgti.50megs.com/audi/carkit/DSC00061.jpg">

You'll notice the top two are correct (just like in the VW01B adapter), however the bottom one is completely wrong:

<img src="http://hitechgti.50megs.com/audi/carkit/DSC00062.jpg">

As you can see, the pins are completely the wrong size &amp; layout:

Where in the world can I possibly find the right connector??

Help greatly appreciated..
-Marc

Default BTW do you know what this "Maystar" adapter is?

Got this from Andy (aka MacSub) from the Audio/electronics forum:

Looks like the red connector in this pic is what I need, with the RCA line inputs..

Default Okay good. So you're essentially just sending signal, ground, & remote signal

to the rear self-amplified speakers then.

There is no connector for this piece that I'm aware of. When you use the Concert to power aftermarket amps, then you can use an adapter by Blaupunkt but that's of no use here.

If your Clarion has low-level (speaker) outs for front &amp; rear, you could always run wire to the rear speakers (as I've done) to power them with the aftermarket receiver. They're 4-Ohms, so an aftermarket receiver works fine. You just wire directly to the + &amp; - leads on the speakers.

Of course, you probably don't want to pull all those panels. Your option is to then the get some RCA cables, cut the ends off, and itegrate into the stock plug.

Default Gotcha, thanks for the response.. now a couple more questions:

Are you saying that the Concert does NOT have a power amp for the rear speakers, or that it DOES?
If it does, then how would line outputs from the Clarion (which does have them BTW) be able to feed the +/- directly on the speakers??

Really confused here..

Default Try Crutchfield- got a look alike part there

That sure looks a lot like the two part Blaupunkt adapter that Crutchfield sold me to put a Hamburg in my New Beetle Monsoon system. They will help find the right parts even if you only want the adapter and not a new head unit.
