MAF longevity question..... >>

I was checking the fluids and filters on my 180-00TTQC 41K miles, found the sticker on the MAF housing states 03/1999!! and has a heat printed date on the sensor itself of 09/00, guess it is time to replace it? it is working fine and I don't have a vagcom to test it yet, maybe this is the reason it feels caffeine depraved somedays.This car is full stock, only upgrade is to a 225 exhaust and 04 valance. Next will be suspension and DV... soon... any suggestion?

Failure of MAFs cannot be predicted...>

If the cars running fine, probably no need. You really need a VAG to measure the G/sec rate to be sure.

I know, the car is not throwing CEL, just curiosity about the ..>>

'age'of the MAF on my car. What are the options for a vag-com? what would be your suggestion? which one is more valuable? anyone that runs on a PDA? are they worthwile (on the PDA)?. Thanks for your help.
