Loosing boost.. .could it be the DV??

Default Loosing boost.. .could it be the DV??

Received the Norgen Pressure Regulator yesterday. Intalled it alone, still waiting for the check valve and pressure relief valve.

It was fun in the beginning. Pressure was at 19 PSI's substained before install. Turned it clockwise 6 turns and the guage reads about 21psi's substained, 7 turns and I am hitting peak of 24psi's.

Today the boost will not go above 15 psi's... at WOT, it rises pretty fast to 15psi and then there was a sudden drop in pressure to 10psi and then it start to rise again. Happens at every gear.

What could be the problem? The DV? I do have an OEM DV...

oe dv huh? oh.. may wanna check that.. it's a known weak link.

Same result with regulator turned anticlockwise all the way.

if not check it. if the dv is ok, you may have run some error codes (check w/vag-com)

I mean Clockwise...... too allow the air flow freely...

Still same result in stock mode... how do I check the DV?

No error codes, will get a new DV, thinking of which one to get...

Default Planning to get a OEM N version.... heard they are pretty good..

compared to Baileys and Forge.
Think the part number is 710N.

Default Just checked my DV.. it's the 06A 145 710N, working fine after reinstall of BM....

Isn't this the OEM N version?

I then removed the BM and test drove the car in Chip mode, it should push ~19 PSI's. The boost will not go above 10 psi. After a couple rounds around the block the boost rose to 19psi and held there....
Reinstalled the BM and everything is working fine... I wonder what went wrong...
