18 or 19 RS4 rims in Metro Detroit? Can't decide $300 difference. Also, can I lower/spacer......
I have an ABT spring combo/bilstein sport struts with spacers from evolution sports that survives down there ok, but I'm glad that I live in northern mich. now. That combo lowers about an inch, and I think that anything more downstate is just tempting fate.
BTW, a few of us are hoping to meet up next weekend (not tomorrow) to work on some mods if you're interested in meeting up, let me know.
cheers and welcome,
Rich

To run 19" on a TT you should use a 35 profile tire. The 40 profile tire on my 18" wheels rides noticeably stiffer than the 45 profile tire on the OEM 17" rims. Unless you want a buckboard ride and lots of expense replacing bent rims, to say nothing about having a wheel that is argueably out of proportion for the design of the car, I would recommend going with the 18" size. Not only is the cost a bit less, the proportions are better, and the size gives the same appearance as the ALMS wheel or the optional wheel on the 3.2TT.
