paint problem?!?!
so i bought my 2k1 tt used, and as a result have no prior history of minor repairs. today, on the front left fender, i notice a peeling. it's very minor, but if i look btn the fender crack where it meets the hood piece, i notice the peeling there too.
essentially it looks like someone put some clear guard on there that has dried up and is peeling- but i know it's not clear guard. does this mean the clear coat however is starting to peel?

That's probably what it is. Have a faint area like that on my rear bumper where it got smacked once
not very noticeable, but it's there. It didn't crack the bumper, or dent it, but the impact put some minor scratches in, and then a couple of weeks later, I noticed the faint hairline cracks. I think it was from the bumper flexing in the impact, and for some reason, the clearcoat having dried a little right there.
