no more screech + power up!!! YAY!!!!!
I want you to know that on every single one of those hose clamps I got AT LEAST another 4 to 5 'slots' tighter on the clamp. Some of the clamps I got alot more than that. Thats like another 1/4 to 1/2 inch.
So now on a test drive I puttered up a steep hill in 4th at about 30mph and floored it and as the revs climbed it made alot of intake whoosh and turbo whine but no screeching and no weird fluttering!
So those of you who still have this problem... yank the front end off and get those clamps tight!
Hopefully mine stays all good now (knocking on wood, fingers crossed)
I think I will have to take the front off and see for myself.
So you are stiil running stock intercooler hoses, right?
IF you are, why didn't you change over to samco? can they not go on the stock intercooler?
Congratulations on the find.
I'll probably collect the hoses, a FMIC and a grill in the next year or so and put them all on together.
I wonder though if they only tested to stock psi levels when they pressured the system.
Now, I have an alterior reason to go in and to the headlighs, too. It does look better without the amber.
