Default APR Stage III

Last weekend i was in auburn and saw the stage III audi TT at APR. It is a buetiful red TT.
IT sounded so good coming out with around 370 HP under the hood.

Default Yeah Yeah Yeah ... I Look Forward to Seeing It As Much as the Next Guy but

I'm so tired of hearing ... "it's so great", "it's coming soon", "I just spoke to a guy who is best friend with a dude who works at APR", "APR will release it in 2 weeks", "Stage 3 ready at the upcoming BBQ", etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. (multiplied by infinity)

It's all rumor until it's out and people have the kits in their hands. Until then ... who the heck cares ... especially after all this waiting.

Let's just hope the wait was really worth it.

Dahlback keeps looking better and better though for the $$...

Default But now a working sample has been made. The tools are complete, wait for production......

As for broken promises, welcome to the vendor / R&amp;D community. Also, priorities shift. The promises are to keep the kids chomping at the bit.....

Default Chomping at the bit is one thing ... but broken promises do nothing for APR's credibility

When it gets to the point that your company's promises become a running joke in the target customer base, it usually backfires ... unless they can produce a product that exceeds expectations. Only time (apparently a very long time) will tell how this turns out.

I'm hoping their product kicks a$$ because I'm looking forward to it. I've just learned (like most others) to take these rumor leaks with an iceberg (not grain) of salt.

Default APR LIES compulsively

and FWIW they DID blow up a motor...it was in their S3 test mule for the 225 kit. In front of tons of witnesses...on the dyno.

Default Please get your facts straight sir. The S3 had a built engine, way beyond bolt-ons.

It is not, and was not intended as a development car for any TT turbo upgrade kits. The S3 was built to flat out win the 1.8T Challenge. APR ran out of time when things went wrong. The car did not have enough prep time for the event. Just so you know, it wasn't their tuning that caused the engine failure. FYI, the engine was fired up for the first time and seized up after 15 minutes of off boost break-in time. That's not APR's fault. They didn't build the short block in-house.

I've read your biased anti-APR posts for months now. It seems to me like you have some issues that need to be sorted out. I'm not sure what the deal is, but let me know if I can help get you back on track (or at peace). Did APR do something wrong to you or somebody you know?
