I don't know about Axe... but I had a bitch of a time getting the pod to shape right. I heat-gunned it, but I really should have bought 2-3 of the pods for trial & error. All in all I like this look for me... in my opinion it's easier to see the gauges here rather than in the ashtray area. (although the aluminum ashtray pods are killer... I just thought it would be tougher to keep my eyes on the road!)

Default i took the chicken's way out and paid to have the pod fitted...

i don't trust myself with heat guns after i kinda melted the paint on a car when i was working at a dealer many years ago...

i agree whole-heartedly about the visibility of the gauges thing. it's a LOT easier to see what's going on. IMO, the vent/ashtray gauges are too far from the action to be much good.

Default to clarify...

i think the vent/ashtray pods are great for oil temp and/or pressure or for voltage, etc.

however, for boost and a/f -- things that are most useful to see when you're at WOT -- i like to be able to see what's going on...

i know i'm not being very clear or consise, but i think you get the idea...
