Hey EasTTcoasTT! Here's project #3...

Take this 3" 90* ss tubing

Then couple it to the 3" to 2.5" reducer

Which is mated to a 2.5" to 2" reducer

Attach that to a 2" 90* bend

Of course, will need these (have to get at least 4 ply)

Once I've gotten the thing together, I'll need to have a shop weld a few other smaller inlets.

Nice...but sometimes you will get rattles I've been told...

Don't you already have the samco one? what you need is an electronic dump valve in your exhaust hooked to a wot switch. :-)

I actually looked into doing that. There's a few Chevy/Mustang sites that

I've been looking at, which have a switched dump valve to the exhaust. It wouldn't be har to fab into my exhuast.

I like the Samco, but I'm trying to reduce any area the may be flexing.

I remember your post about the pressure pipe of the turbo, were you asking what those perforations were inside the tubing? When I do my hard piping, I'll need to check out if I have that.

Not quite yet, I'm just hard piping the entire intake tract...

if and whenever I do decide to get a larger turbo, it won't be too difficult to just swap out the end of the intake tube to match the inlet.

Yup... that would seem like a flow restriction in velocity if nothing else significant....

Let me know how the intake piping thing works out.. you really that flow will be better than the Samco?

the flow may smooth out. I bet there is some flexing involved...

too bad I don't have a camera to take pics at WOT...I wonder if Forge would be willing to do it, that way we can actually make a comparison between the Samco and the "collapsing hose" video.
