Anyone have the Audi phone installed (cullmann adapter type)?
After waiting 3.5 months to get the Cullmann adapter for my Ericsson T39, I finally received it yesterday and installed it in about 5 seconds. The adapter is designed to work with the pre-wired car kit that ships with some Audi's (supplied by Cullmann), and uses the built in mic and stereo's speakers - even when the stereo is off.
Unfortunately, the sound is horrible. Callers' voices seem very distant and they tell me that they hear their own voices echoed back to them so loudly that it is unusable.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to improve the sound quality? Is there any noise cancellation feature that I can activate (maybe through VAG-COM - he says as he crosses his fingers)?
Otherwise, I may need to upgrade to another kit - probably Bluetooth (see my other post today). Do those of you with the Bluetooth kits have similar problems?
Thanks.
As for sound no problems unless used on orange and have had the same problems some times and am now using Vodaphone. The mic is in the panel close to the interior lights.
I am told the sensitivity or the mic and volume can be altered with Vagcom
