boost gauge reading in vacuum. bad to drive like that?

It's gonna be in vacuum a great deal of the time...

Default oh...more.

I just switched from a 0 - 30 psi to a -10 - 0 - 25psi boost gauge so i wasn';t sure if it was normal

Default you get below zero (0) when you let off the gas (no boost)...and you get above >>

zero (0) when you nail it...and typically, zero (0) when idle, no boost or vacumm.

Default you should always pull vacuum at idle! if not you've got problems :)

it should be around 20" vac at idle, maybe 10" vac at light cruise and 5" vac up into boost when accelerating (dependant upon how hard you are accelerating)
