When does a bad DV 'honks ?

When does a bad DV 'honks ?
When a DV is bad, under what conditions does it 'honks' ? When I press and hold the gas pedal ? When I release the gas pedal ?
I hear a short noise (about 1/2 sec) each time I release the gas pedal and sombody mentioned that this may be the DV. Does this mean that the DV is bad (I have DV-R) ?

Check your diaphram - sounds like you are developing a hole.
Check my picture posts for the hole I found in mine.

My car has way too many doohickies, whatchamacallits, and thingamajigs as it is. I don't need to be concerning myself with a "woosh/psshhhhh" sounding thingy
