Default Boost gauge install advice...

I plan to install my gauge in the centre air vent nearest the steering wheel.

Done searches and can't seem to find info on this ----> Will removal of the lower dash facilitate access to run the wires to gauge or will I need to remove the radio also?

TIA

Default here's what i did...

you do have to remove the lower dash piece, but you don't have to remove the radio.

i ran the line from the engine bay through the hole in the firewall right above the pedals, underneath the dash.

after you remove the center vent (just pull it out), if you put a droplight underneath the pedals, this will help 'guide' you to snake the line up through the back of the dash, by seeing the light filtering up through the open vent hole. confusing to explain, but makes sense when you do it. certainly no need to remove the radio...

i hard-wired my radar detector at the same time, so i ran all of my 12v and ground leads to the fuse box, which is exposed when you pull the lower dash panel off.

it's slightly tedious, but once you're done it will be a nice, clean install. good luck!

Default do a search on fignewton user name. I did mine that way

and posted. no need to remove radio, but lower dash under steering wheel needs to come off so you can do wiring and run vac line through firewall. I love it, and you can see it a lot better there than on the left side, where your hand blocks the view of the gauge.
