so moving violation as oppose to fix it for front tint
can I do traffic school for this? f*****g sucks that it was not a fixit so I think it's time to join the ranks of the other NoCal SoCal peeps and call SBPD and fight this puppy.
Rest assured this is the <b>LAST</b> event like this I am going to - I've got better things to do with my time than to play games with the local PD. I've had ZERO trouble or instances with my TTs (2 of them) in just over 3yrs and 60k miles so I'll just stick to that.
I do not relish the idea of having raised insurance for this event (issue) ......

If it's for tint only, I'm almost positive that it is a fix-it ticket and not a moving violation. Thus, it should not increase your insurance premiums. However, I don't believe that traffic school is an option.
The only bummer is that you're going to have to remove the offending tint and have an officer sign off on the back of the citation that you've complied.

well one would assume (hope) it was fix it (still a pain to get it removed) BUT...
..the officer wrote my ticket (and ALL the others) as "Moving Violation" and not fix its. So subject to fine and point (I believe)
