Default Schwing...what size was your poly bushings for the front swaybar?

and how did that install go. I remember that you had to do some dremel work to get them to fit...or did you just use the 20mm bushings and they fit? nothing on your modshack.info site on what you did. TIA

Default I never got to that...>>

There was some discussion a long time ago, and I had found a universal source, but never acquired them. Now with the Powerflex ones available that's the way to go. I may do this eventually. The front bushings are a PITA to do....

Default Are they really a PITA to do? didn't know that >>

if you're saying that its difficult, for the mechanic impaired, it would most likely be what? a nightmare?

and what was the source of the PolyFlex bushings? I thought Jeff Bipes installed them when they came out?

Default Big PITA...>

Swapping out the front bar is a 2-3 hour job..Gotta mess with the subframe/alignment etc. The bushing replacement is still gonna be difficult but should not require as much dissassembly. Still a PITA to access! Forge carries all the Powerflex stuff..

Default I ordered the 20mm ones, since the 225 bar is 20mm............BUT

there are some non-removable nylon sleeves that bump that part of the bar to 22mm. the interior hole of the bushing is 20mm and will NOT fit. the stock is, of course 22mm. i left them a message and have not resolved it. YES, it was a total pain in the *** to work on.

Default they didn't take into concideration the nylon sleeve on the bar

the bar IS 20mm, and the bushing fits that perfectly. unfortunately the nylon sleeve doesn't come off, and right there it's 22mm because of it. i took one off, and before finishing the second, thought i should try the new one on the first side. i was pretty pissed at loosing 3hrs of my day off to end up with the same car i started with.
