Elvis is Alive!!! I Just Saw Him Driving a 225 TT with an APR Stage 3 Kit!
Of course, Elvis being alive and the APR Stage 3 kit for the TT 225 are fictional tales of imaginative minds. The "2 Weeks" have long since passed, including the APR barbeque where many had predicted the coming of this messianic turbo kit.
In all seriousness ... I have my ever-increasing doubts that there will be a Stage 3 kit from APR for the TT 225. That engine has been around for 3 years and still nothing. At this point, would it be economically feasible for APR (or any tuner) to release such an extreme kit at this late stage of the game?
Not that I'm in a hurry. I'm just ready to start hearing customer feedback and their real world experiences with this kit.
Sidenote: I'm hoping everyone has a sense of humor about this type of post, including APR and its resellers. I (like many, many others) are looking forward to having this kit become a reality so that informed decisions can be made.

The argument stands that as these 225s age, warranties expire, and resale drops ...
... that the viability/attractiveness of a kit would <i>increase</i>. Many 225s are dropping into the low $20k price range, making the possibility of a 350+ HP 225qC <i>cheaper</i> than a new 225 or 3.2. Probably not the same market, however, I'd argue that the market is larger on the used side. Plus, the buzz is saying that April 22nd will be the magic day.

Rarely will someone buy a $40k car and then upgrade the turbo.......BUT
someone much younger than the typical $40k car buyer would, after they bought it used off lease for a much more affordable price. obviously this board is of all ages and tuning prowess. more manufacturers need to realize that MANY, MANY of these cars will be bought used by alot of people able to afford a turbo kit. i think more will shortly pop up.
