I guess this is now pretty exclusively a mod forum. Oh well.

I agree, and we're on the same page...
Way back when, this forum was a fun, educational and interesting place which had a healthy blend of mods, humor, and everyday life experience. The views, orientations and inclinations of TT owners here were fairly diverse and provided a pretty nice balance, in my view. Then, the AW moderators cracked down hard on the OT stuff and many went to another forum.
The other place, from *my perspective* became a left-leaning, mean-spirited, cliquish, gossipy place where the overriding theme seemed to be homosexuality.
Then, the moderators eased up here and I had hoped that some of the AW TTers would feel free to open the conversation up a bit and actually utilize the "Off Topic" icon every now and then, but that's rarely happened.
For me, constant discussion of clear corners, smoked side markers, chips, and the best color of paint gets REALLY old. I don't mind reading about it, but I'd like to see something else as well. I'd like to see a nice balance like we used to have. Not sure that's going to happen though.

Well not knowing how it was in the past I cannot judge that part.
But if you are a new owner or you want to know how to Mod, this is the place to be. I have some superficial Mods only, why? Because I love the car the way it is and do not want to change the looks. Some here love to change everything and that is a good thing. But you can only change so much on our cars so things do get repetitive at times. But I like to read what is going on and we do have some very knowledgeable people here and some who think they are. OOPS, Jk. BTW we all know that RED is the best color :>0
