Installed TTDA yesterday. Very nice so far. ???: How the hell do I remove the screens from my MAF?

Default Installed TTDA yesterday. Very nice so far. ???: How the hell do I remove the screens from my MAF?
I have one plastic screen and one metal mesh in the filter part of the MAF. Whats the best way to remove them without damage to any parts? Can they be re-inserted back for dealer visits?

Also, my car is not chipped. If I chip it, will it make the intake/blowoff louder?

Steve removed mine at TTE with a socket extension and a hammer.

How? Just banging on it from the opposite side? I was afraid that will break the metal mesh.

Default Try the beer can/soda can trick. Diameter of the can is roughly the same and will distribute...
... pressure evenly on the mesh.

..so just push on the metal mesh and it will pop out together with the plastic screen?

Default This trick works great but you need to remove the MAF to do it....
and the MAF is held in with anti-tamper torx head screws ...need a torx head with a hole in the middle can't remember what size though...

Default Ok, I'll get the sensor out. BUT isn't the metal mesh held in with a ring? Thats how it was on my
A4...

The can trick works...just need to put some pressure on both screens...they WILL pop out.
