The problem is the wiring harness and the switches. If it wasn't factory, it ain't there

How do you like the Magellan?

I was thinking of buying an aftermarket portable nav, and I've narrowed it down to the Magellan or the Garmin 2610 or 20. Is that the 500 or the 700?

It's terrible anyways. Uses the regular trip computer LED to show rudimentary directions. An aftermarket system would be much better.

Buy an iPAQ and run various GPS programs on it.

I run Destinator v3 on my iPAQ 4150 and it gives nice voice prompts and great displays.
