My Summer Project: Invisible Front License Plate Mount
There is more than enough stiction force to hold this mount while on the freeway and there's no way any ordinary observer would know the difference. Please note the link and the website for the magnets. Please also note that these are really strong magnets if you're not familiar and can easily adhere to each other and not come back apart too easily. Check out www.gaussboys.com for the magnets - there's a few types (thicknesses to choose from).
In guling them into place its a good idea to mount one set at a time using the other magnets to hold them in place from the other side as they can tend to jump to one another while the glue sets. After the glue set I used some clear coat to seal them in from moisture. One other note is to be sure of the polarity of the magnets as you set them in place - using a magnet on the other side helps with this problem.
Please use the link to see a little bit of a step by step and the final appearance.

http://home.earthlink.net/~tsitmc/audittinvisiblelicenseplatemount/</a
