Where can I get a set of R32 aluminum shift paddles?

I don't believe they were offered in the U.S., but rather on Euro-spec R32s only (said the creator of the mod, yours truly, for what little that's worth).
TIA

I gave it a shot and lo and behold it worked! I forwarded the results first to the guys at vag parts and then to the U.S. and UK TT forums, with plugs for vagparts.
There was considerable interest and vagparts started to get quite a few orders. They placed their wholesale order for a good quantity of the paddles and VW AG responded by increasing the price by several hundred dollars. They tried several different routes to obtain the parts at a reasonable price, but to no avail.
Meanwhile, a French owner was able to obtain a very limited supply of the aluminum Euro R32 paddles from a French VW distributor, which had not yet marked up the prices. All of those paddles were rapidly spoken for. I don't think he can still get the parts for a good price, but I'm not sure.
I feel bad for the owners who wanted the paddles and especially for the vagparts guys, but it just didn't work out. Perhaps the prices will come down one day, or else an alternate distribution channel will be discovered.
Ironically, I rarely use the paddles because DSG is so good. However, I do think that they look a whole lot nicer!

www.vagparts.com
