Default Replacement for TT - Loaded Mini Cooper S with Nav

Already got a speeding ticket in it 72mph in a 55mph zone. DOH! The nav is worlds better than the old cd based one in TT.

http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/gallery_19458.html

How do you like it? What are the pluses and minuses versus the TT?

Default there are lots of differences...

It is a smaller car, but has lots more room in it (tons more than the roadster, and more usable room than the coupe)

The supercharger has a nice whine, but it doesnt have the ooomph that the 225 has (especially a modded one)

Handling is really no comparison. It is so nimble and quick on its feet, you have to be careful not to early apex everytime. It excels in this area cause the damn TT is so fat.

Brakes are good, not that big but they dont have to be. We only have about 10K miles and have had really no problems. The interior is great, sporty, and it has a pretty good sound system when you get the upgraded one.

So far so good.

Default So much fun. Just got past the 1400 break in, what a difference over 4000 RPM...

...that thing is ballistic on the freeway. I get twice the comments on it than the TT as well, just big smiles all around.

Default Not to diminish the Mini but...

You get twice the looks because the TT was launched in 1999 and the Mini far more recently. I was one of the first TT owners in the U.S. and when this car first came out, you would have thought others had seen a spaceship! No one knew *what* it was!

I can't tell you how many honks, looks and thumbs up I got. I know that I caused at least one accident from a young guy trying to catch up to catch a glimpse. I can point you to some of my very early threads on the subject, if need be.

Again, no disrespect to the Mini intended, but it's important to understand what's going on here.
