2002 TT ALMS: How much?

Been following the TT forum for a few years now and have learned a lot. Now have a chance to buy a 2002 ALMS (Avus grey with red interior). Never been winter driven (I live in Atlantic Canada) and has only 22,000 km on it (~13,600 miles). The guy just put new tires on it (?brand) and says he'll only sell the car if he gets top dollar. He's asking $48,000 Cdn (~37,000 US). The car is supposedly in excellent condition. Is he asking too much? The Canadian Black Book gives a figure of about $43,000 Cdn as top dollar.

that's too much..

here in Ontario.. they'll go for closer to the 43k..

The important thing is "whats it worth to you"

at 13K miles and no winter weather it'a a new car and that's what you want. If your just going to keep it for a few years then it's a lot of money but if it's 6-7 or more then it's nothing. What's that big smile worth every time you drive it. Market value differance of this amount would mean almost nothing to me if this is what i want. I'm sure you saved this money for years just waiting for this moment of ( this is the car for me ). Buy it and drive it like you stole it !!!
