Looks as though the next-generation TT will be getting a 160HP 2.0L...

But not for North America. We'll have to settle for a powerplant lineup that'll eventually be comprised of a couple of 2.0L turbocharged FSI fours and a pair of V6s.

Well Jeff, a Junior 2953 position was open earlier today...

why can't they put the 6M with the V6???
I noticed all the 6's were DSG cars and only the 2.0t's offered the 6M
although a 260+ 2.0T sounds awfully nice.... just not as nice as the 300+ six... I'd buy one if it came with the 6spd =P

Don't think it's a case of "can't do it" for the North American market but one of "can't afford to."
...<font color="003366"> It has to do with the cost of certification and the total numbers of any permutation of engine/trans/aerodynamic drag/coastdown.
Pretty much the same reason why the current 3.2L is only offered with DSG on this side of the pond while the Eurocrowd can order the car with a 6-speed manual.</font>
