Default Well, back from my trip, what a total and utter mess...

some of you might have seen my girlfriend post about my problems on my trip to houston with my mods(the EPC light coming on every 2hrs or so and disabling the car while i was cruising on the highway).. well.. got to houston and got rear-ended by a 17yr old in a mustang, broke the suspension and now i'm back in kansas with no audi for at least a month I do wonder though, what the hell happened to my car? I have a REVO chip, and a FORGE BOV(made for the audis).. what would possibly cause the EPC light to come on every 2hrs or so, and then allow me to flip the car off and re-start? finally the check engine light flipped on once it did that, but it too went away after a couple restarts... any ideas at all? i'd like to have that fixed along with my other problem... thanks!
Rob

Default it was probably the forge bov...when you get your car, unplug the maf and run it that way with the

bov installed. If it works, then the bov is the culprit.

Default another thing, i really thought my mods would smooth out the power, but..

when i was cruising around in town, i could feel it surge around 3K or so when i wasnt even on the throttle.. it felt even less smooth than before.. i wonder if the BOV is the culprit to all of this??

Default more than likely, the hks on my car runs pretty smoothly...

I'd swap it out and see what happens. The other thing to do is switch to stock mode and with the bov, see if that changes things. Could be the REVO program too.

Default My vacuum lines have cracked in the past...

check those, especially where they run near coolant lines, as they get hot hot hot. That has happened on both my A4 and my TT. check the clamping points for hoses between dv and inlet, etc as well, as i just discovered a crack there last night, and i've had the same issue a couple times recently.

Default After much work, we found the line from the N75 to the N249 to be cracked.

It is a tough one to find and a tough one to change.

No more EPC issues.
