anyone know if this would work on the euro version of our cars?

selling to someone in norway and the unit itself says "US" on the top.

Nope, will not work (more)

The freq width is different in europe (I think they use less bandwidth/station but don't quoute me on that). A European radio will work here but not the other way around.
