Default Dieselgeek SS adjustment question>>

after I adjusted it and rowed through the gears to test (car not running) it felt great, smooth, no notchiness and it practically jumped into each gear with barely a tap... driving down the road though its still fairly smooth (every once in a while its slightly notchy feeling) but it doesnt effortlessly pop itself into gear with a tap like it did parked in the driveway... not that it was ever like that stock, but theres just a slight increase in effort.

Is this normal because of the shortened throw? or do I need to readjust? The instructions just said to make sure there was no notchiness... and theres not when parked.. and very little when driving (alot less than when stock anyways...) It just takes a bit more wrist work to get into gear

Default Blu, I've had mine for a year... and it's a little hard to remember, but >>>

I got mine fine on the first adjustment, So a Firm shift should slide directly, but not effortlessly (like w/ engine off). what do you mean by notchy... do you mean some gears take MORE effort than others ? or that sometimes it is HARD to slide into gear ?

pray tell...

Default notchy>>

as in not smooth? errr.. same effort to get into gear but you can feel the gears meshing.

I don't have to force it into gear or anything like that! Its just a bit more effort than before. Firm as you put it! but otherwise it does go right into every gear like its got eyes lol.

we know you'll feel more "vibration" during a normal shift > what about a fast shift?

Default Sounds right...my first weeks took a bit getting use to it>>>

it is definitely "firmer" than stock....drive it for a bit, as long as there is no grinding, you should be fine....
