anyone have problems, issues with their staggered tire setup on the awd tt's...........

when i called tire rack, they acted like they werent gonna sell me a staggered setup for my quattro. any major problems to be had by running this with quattro, haldex issues??? thanx

The tire shops I've talked with have given me the same response

Siting liability as the reason they wouldn't sell a staggered setup. I've heard the arguments on both sides, from those who should know and those who pretend to know, and have no idea whether its legit or not as the camps seem evenly split.

hell, one of the salesmen from tire rack told me

he runs his corvette with 19s in the rear and 17s up front
i know those are same width, got to be a libility thing

surprised they don't recommend offset for staggering

225 40 18
255 35 18

quattro is still happy, same diameter.

i run the same 225 tire, but an offset difference. Axis also makes this an option.
