Are we out of gas yet?
My TT's fuel gauge has always shown full until nearly a 100 miles have been driven, half when there are maybe 75 miles left and the info display shows 0 miles left when the gauge gets just past quarter tank. Anyone else living with readings this erratic?

I had the same problem. Instrument cluster was replaced yesterday and today and it seems to be working perfectly again. My car is a 225qc 2002. It only had 22,000 miles when the problem occurred.

I am... I just use the trip computer's readings
I do notice the fuel gauge needle acting weird. Only goes part way to bottom when I turn the ignition off... then drops all the way down after maybe 10-15 secs. Then jumps back up 1/2" when the door opens and the odometer lights up. It's clearly reacting to extra voltage or something similar.

I had the same issue on my '99.5QC. The dealership replaced the feul sending unit 7 times in 2.5 years.
Also, the trip computer is coupled to the feul guage and will display information based on it's current reading. The neele on my gauge would bounce all over the place at idle below 1/2 a tank and the trip computer would keep pace indicating # of miles left based on the needles current position.
The good thing is that it's an easy fix and not too expensive. I just hope they've got the issue figured out and are using better parts these days.
