treating chipped/peeling chrome plating in exhaust tip

i have a neuspeed exhaust and i'm noticing that the interior of the tips are now chipping, leaving a white layer...is this the chrome plating burning off?

i e/m'd neuspeed and their very apathetic response has left me wondering??? of course, there's no way to replace the tips, and they offered a "we've never heard about this" "solution". thanks.

hmmm I think I have seen people post about this b4

but imo that is unacceptable for any exhaust younger then 2-3 yrs old...subjected to normal wear and tear.

How are you cleaning them?

The Neuspeed pipes have aluminim coated tips and should not be cleaned with harsh solvents or stainless steel cleaner. Just an FYI.

I recall somebody here having some corrosion issues and Neuspeed replaced the tips for him. Don't remember who it was now but he was happy with the replacement. Try a search...
