My friend is the dis for the Dallas region and is getting me the AVIC-N1 for 1600 installed..It can

be upgraded by a disk to offer the trafic data. Its a great unit. Hoping to get it soon when get the extra funds. Good to have friends in the electronic bus

really? if avic-n1 is upgrade-able with traffic data then I wonder what is avic-n2 selling pt?

AVIC-N2 has 7.5mb of guidance memory?

Hope that's a typo otherwise the N2 is a scaled down N1 w/xm nav.

It seems this is more a hardware function so it will require a new xm box

If you read the PR the traffic data is handled by a new XM breakout box.

If you are sure they are upgradable for the traffic data, I think this would be a very cool mod.

I went to NextTag.com you can get one for $1349.

Of course then you need to add an amp, speakers... Easy a $3k mod.

Any clue how the thing sounds? Do you have to extend the display to run the radio, etc?
