Default WooooHooooo, cup holder mod, good for 2 extra HP

Thanks to great posts from Jeff and Marc, makes this project easy, if you have the right arm rest. I have the arm rest no one seems to care for but the price was right. I had to move the mounting back farther so I couldn't use the original holes. I also had to cut the flat nut assembly to fit back farther.

I also decided to cut the complete rubber flap for the unused side of the cup holder. A steel rule and box cutter works well for cutting the rubber flap. The spring is held by the internal bolt and the small portion of the flap still there.

I needed to shift the holder back so I needed to make a new mounting hole for the cup holder itself. I soldered a nut to a large washer and used RTV to mount it securely so I could screw it in without holding the nut in place.

Finished mount.

One mistake I made was not cutting on the waste side when I cut the aluminum pieces for the other cup holder. Make sure you leave enough length for sanding and cleaning up the end.
