thinking of doing the dogbone mount today..what can I expect?
I am having a timing belt/water pump 6ok service done today and thinking of having the dog-bone mount done at the same time. If I do it, what benefits will I reap. What are any negative side-effects...if any? Expert advice appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Less engine movement, possible vibration
It does vary from product to product. So the results depend heavily on just who's mount you decide on.
You can definitely expect less engine movement, a little quicker throttle response. The most obvious side effect (which various widely) will be cabin vibration. Some notice it more when they're taking off the line in 1st gear, some only notice it at idle.

Best bang for the buck mod out there.
Yes, vibration is increased a little but shifts are much crisper. The whole job took me only about 15 minutes with the car on a lift and the belly pan already off for an oil change. It should be a relatively cheap add-on job.
Keep the old bushings and if you think the vibration is too harsh, swap it out the next time you raise the car. My bet though is that you will throw the old ones out, just like I did.

I have the VF Engineering mount. Cabin vibration felt at idle and taking off in 1st. ->>
But after that, no problems. I must add that the cabin vibration is NOT annoying. Nothing rattles, you just feel it on your butt. I've been thinking about doing the driver and passenger side mounts, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
