probably not. Anyway, the heavy vibration I was feeling on saturday night was due to a bent axle.

hooray!

Too much hp for my little axle.
Made a couple calls around and the race shops recommend I stick with the OE axle setup.

And I guess just bend them every 6 months?

ugh.

You can get uprated axles... especially if you're bending them.

I replaced mine a couple of years ago...

FWD has no toe adj and even a tight curb while parking can bend the axle.
First rule out the stub axles as they cost alot less. Check for paint cracks transfered to this part only. Mine was the main beam which cost about $700

I was just looking at mine last week when I did the O2 sensor and noticed ....

that the black paint had cracked and has started to peel off the outside surface in a helix pattern that sort of looks like reverse rifling of a gun barrel. I can't believe that the axle has actually twisted but there has certainly been an excessive amount of torque applied at some point or other
