Default I use a Bailey and am pleased with it.

After blowing 3 OEMs in a few months pre-chipped, I haven't had any issues since putting in the Bailey 30k or so ago.

Default I don't know if there is much of a performance diff between the aftermarket DVs.

I think any are much better than the the rubber diapraghm OEM one. The OEM one is junk, don't know if Forge is better than the Bailey or not. Anyone do a test on 'em to compare performance? Especially when chipped?

Default Had a Bailey, then went to a Forge DVR>>>

throttle response was much quicker and boost transition was better. I like the DVR, but the 3 you mentioned are all better than stock, so i think you cannot go wrong..just think the Bailey would not be my personal choice.

How's any aftermarket performance compared to a perfectly good stock (N-series)?

Default What you'll get is..>>

Much smoother transitions and more linear throttle action. It's not about increasing "performance" as such , as it is in making the car more driveable. Aftermarket DV's won't give you any more horespower than a properly functioning OEM, but they'll make those horsepowers easier to live with....
