fuel pressure reg. has'nt come in yet, can I drive without it for short distances? without the new 4bar --- with the stock one

Sure...I drove mine for 1000 miles before a cell!
Shouldn't be a problem, but you'll only notice the major improvements in power, smoothness and driveability with the 4 bar. Get it in as soon as you can!
