Default OK...coil pack question...

Driving home today car starts missing. Power loss, runs rough (I think someone described it as a lawnmower) & after a short time CEL flashing. It would miss for a while, then clear up. Then it finally did if for a much longer stint after which the CEL stayed solid. This happened a while back occasionally, but has been good for a few months, so I thought maybe they had healed themselves (I can dream, can't I?)

Looks like its time to replace a coil pack. Or more. That's the question, should I just find a VAGCOM & replace the one that's misbehaving, or just do them all at once? & what will this occasional misbehavior damage (the cat? & maybe O2 sensors?) while I get the parts & stuff?

Also, where have you guys gotten them in the past? I saw a link the other day (used to be VWParts) but don't recall it now.

buying them individually (4) is cheaper than buying the set of 4...Hmmmm

I'd just replace all 4 Scott. When one goes, often another is not far behind.

Default My other thought was to at least buy all 4 at once.

&amp; yeah...I noticed that. Maybe you save on shipping (yeah right) or they try to give you some sort of tested matched set (mmmhmmmm). :^)

replace all at once..although #1 and #2 fail more often due to heat from turbo pipe
