Purchase of Audi TT
You do not mention which model you are looking at, 180 FWD, 180 Quattro or a 225 Quattro....
Decent pricing for cars in the '01-'02 model years are closer to $19-25k.
As for the mechanical issues you cite as being prevalent, they truly are the exception versus the rule. In fact, while there are issues with these cars and yes, they are among those you cite, I'd say that our rate of incidence for major issues is not < than or > than other cars of this ilk.
The best advice I can give you (and others will chime in as well to be sure), is to get a Audi-certified car from a dealer. Make sure you get a warranty.
If, on the other hand, you are looking to buy a TT for the type of low-ball figures you cite above, beware... caveat emptor applies with all large purchases and especially with cars.
Bet of luck!
Full Loaded, all service records from new to date, just had water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, thermostat, temp sensor, MAF, Brembo X drilled rotors F&R, Mintex pads, intake, and mid pipe all within 2,000 miles ago. Let me know if intrested.
I don't really frequent this board much anymore...something about it being too technical ;-))
of course, now I think its too late notice ;-((
