Lack of power - Boost drops at 4000rpm sometimes

can anyone give me some advice? I bought a TT 225 recently on 18" alloys and it seems to lack power. I had some muppet do me a "service", which instead of servicing the car, serviced the now ex missus! I'm not sure how much he could've messed up the internals but the Audi dealership had to reattach some hoses to the turbo amongst other things like securing the plugs properly and salvaging what was left of a prised off cambelt cover and actually fit the thing! Prob is that I'm intermittantly losing the drive. Now i'm hearing a gentle knocking from underneath and at the back with the odd flash from the ESP when I push it hard. Any ideas?

Perhaps all this was caused because you are "losing your drive"?

what year 225 and how many miles?

I had several bizarre issues with mine that my original dealership could never sort out. By the seat of the pants, you could tell it wasn't right but by their specs, they'd say it's all good. After I swapped out the OEM Diverter Valve and had the MAF replaced, AND found a new dealer, all works like I remember. Could just be a hose with a leak and you're losing pressure at 4k and up.

It's got just shy of 80000 miles and is an early 2001 model. BTW: Avoid this London garage man like the plague!!!!

yeah! cheers! Wah! Wah! Wah! fetch me the needle and thread. My sides have split. Was thinking of getting it boosted up a bit aswell on the power. Know of any good places? Heard something about rolling roads etc.
