Michelin had tire issues....>
Asked for some changes to the course to slow things down (for safety). FIA refused, all Michelin teams retired to the pits and only the 6 Bridgestone cars started...

The Michelin tires failed on the banked turn, 13, and Michelin told the teams that it would not last
They said that the FIA refused to change the course because it was not fair to change the track to give an advantage to the teams that unprepared. The Bridgestone<sup>TM</sup> tires had no problems so it would have been unfair for the teams using them to race when the track had been changed to help out others. Michelin dropped the ball big time this weekend. Now I am glad that I did not go.
