Suspecting bad MAF. Did not know that Audi is replacing...
MAF sensors for year 2001 and 2000 up to 70,000 miles for no charge! Apparently many have gone bad. Like an idiot that I am though, I told him my car had a performance chip! Gaawwd I can be such a bonehead sometimes!! He said to not worry though that it should not be a problem. Whether or not my car has a chip should not be the issue. If they have had a recall on these, then it should be replaced performance chip or not! Good job Audi!

I've always been upfront w/my dealer >
first, I want them to know exactly what it is they're working on, second, I don't want them screwing it up inadvertently, and third, it's my decision to mod, so I won't cheat the dealer if something I do goes bust. On the other hand, the dealer's been great about it, and of course - long ago - I got a letter about the 7 year/70k MAF.
