Ok, call me an out of the loop, new again, TT owner but Revo is f-ing expensive!

$800 basically for stage1 software and SPS3... that seems out of line. Probably the biggest reason I didn't realize this as well, is because their site is FAR from informative.

So besides the boost/timing on the SPS3 what is keeping me from saving some cash and hitting GIAC or APR?

Probably the ability to adjust boost/timing.....

But, it's all about what you want to do.....I got the REVO 93 program for my 225 in Jan. with NO SPS device for $399 (on sale...normal about 450-500). I didn't care to mess with the timing and boost and so far, I've been extremely satisfied with the results. I would say you could be just as happy with an SPS 1 or none at all if you're not worried about being able to switch back to stock. Otherwise, APR or GIAC are equally as good programs.

Just get the basic $500 for now and if you realize you want more, go for

SPS 2 or 3 a little later. It also has an immobilizer that will not allow the car to start even if another ECU is installed. You can choose one of several octane settings such as 104 octane race gas, or decide to dial in 35MPG on a road trip.

But the thing I like about it the most is the fact that it's totally software driven and your stock ECU is never touched. Plus I can take it back to stock in a minute so the dealer won't know it's even there.

Can the other chips do all that?
