I'm back with a new 2004 TT...really
I want BIG power in my new TT. I am eyeing APR's 380 HP kit to, but I wanted to ask what kind of power other's are getting from other mods. Anything under 350HP need not apply.
I've been reading about the Mod Shack Stage III. How much power is that producing? Also, what about a high HP exhaust. I had 2.5" Forge with 90mm, non-res exhaust on my 2001 TT and loved it.
My first mod is going to be new paint! It's going to be pearl white, maybe with an ocean blue tint. It should be painted next week. I'll post pics.
Any info would help. Thanks!
You should be thinking of spending around $6000

Dahlback kit >= $8,000 plus new clucth at ~$2,000 (?), new rods at $1,800 (insurance against knock...and I've experienced plenty!),assorted mounts to hold motor in place and a super host of other stuff to make the car feel right. Don't forget labor....and.....don't forget tax!!!
Figure $20K(??)....I have new iForged wheels, Haldex controller and crap I've forgotten about (short shifter, ooh yea...thats one!) and I'm in for ~ $30K. I'm a TT in body only......car has no association with mere chip or stock.
Sweet indeed!!!....but $$$$$$.
As for APR???......never, ever, ever!!! They made a great chip but that 380hp kit has been "coming soon" for soooo long it's apparent they haven't a clue how to get it right (sorry to say as I was an APR fan).
